Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. Her employer is ESPN as the SportsCenter News Anchor. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. It is this skill which helped her obtain her first position as a Univision producer assistant Miami. There, she collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this it was announced that the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. Her move to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs throughout Texas as well as Mexico. In addition, she was frequently required to act as a sports or weather anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She produced pieces about MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She was advertised as a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. Also, she was a sports anchor in Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. They eventually were moved into Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. She has an older sister. There is an older sibling. In 1992, her parents separated and shortly afterward in 1995 she remarried Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in the year 2006 from kidney cancer. While on a vacation Antonietta was staying at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed an offer to work. As a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her requirements. In the end, she was a fan of the university and the university offered the degree she was searching for. Her studies were completed and she was accepted into the University for a master's degree studying media and communication studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a member. The professor encouraged her to be confident and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
